Lunch Arrangements for Players & Accompanying Persons on Private Accommodation
Dear Chess Stakeholders,
As preparations for the championship gather momentum, kindly take note of the following important update regarding lunch arrangements for players and accompanying persons under the Private Accommodation Package.
As earlier communicated, the National Executive Council successfully negotiated a subsidized lunch arrangement at a rate of USD 6 per person per meal, payable via M-Pesa using the official conversion rate already shared.
Reservations are now officially open.
The lunch plan shall cover 4 playing days, specifically selected based on the tournament schedule where players are expected to play two rounds in a day — a morning round followed by an afternoon round. On the remaining days, games will commence at 3:00 PM, allowing participants adequate time for other meal arrangements.
We kindly encourage all interested participants and accompanying persons to make their reservations early to allow for proper planning and coordination. Please note that there is a limited number of food outlets and restaurants around the playing venue, making advance booking highly advisable.
